This year,CNY was celebrated differently. Again I am away from home. Away from all the typical CNY goodies, the 'tok tok chiang GOng Hei Fatt Choi' songs and most of all away from my dearie family. All these makes the Ideal CNY. But i was with a bunch of friends whom made Cny lots better in Adelaide. May not be ideal, but was great. Sure do miss my love one and family lots lots....
The pharmacy that I work in.., is the only pharmacy available in that town (Barmera). Bare in mind, I live and work in 2 different towns. Barmera is a smaller town with half the population of Renmark (the town i live in). But I have to admit, it is a great place for trainning!!
People are starting to recognise me now. They are calling me by name. Initially when i started, they were reluctant to speak to me about thier problems and would rather wait a lil longer to speak to my preceptor and get a more reliable advice. But now, I am able to offer advices and recomendations to them without having them consulting my preceptor (as long as it is within my ability and knowledge) !! :P
I also felt deeply for some pateints as they had multiple conditions and had a long list of drugs to take. Some were physically disabled while some do not appear pleasant looking due to thier conditions. I feel deeply sorry for what they have to go thorugh and struggle to stay healthy. And that long list of medications..? Half of them were indicated to treat the side effects caused by the other half.
Everyone is everywhere now. Times when it is quiet and Overly quiet just like right now, it is hard not to think of noisy times with friends and with everything else with every other people which makes things perfect. It is hard not to think of good times in class and how different life is back then compared to now. I am sure those that are far far away, and further from Adelaide might feel this way too. But then again, there are always the pros and cons to consider...
